"Do Black Men Love"
A forum done in conjunction with Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. where we discuss relationships. This forum is done in a discussion style where students pointed out the pros and cons of being in a relationship during college and after.

Retention Forum
Forum held with organization leaders, students and administrators to let administrators know what problems students face in order to raise retention rates of minorities on campus. This event was held in conjunction with the Student African-American Society during their Black Solidarity Week. This program gained so much attention that an article was printed in the Daily Orange the next day.

Fire and Ice Ball
Formal ball held with Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. During this ball, we have our Ms. Black and Gold Pageant, a national event. The winner of this pageant goes to our state conference and competes at our state pageant. There are performances by students and a dinner buffet and a dance at the end of these two events. It is usually held the weekend of Valentine's Day. This event is non-alcoholic.

Thought of the Week
We find an inspirational and thought provoking quote from notable African Americans in order to foster intellectual discussion amongst students on campus. This also lets the campus know that we are about something positive and not always about partying.

MLK/TORCH
Program done in conjunction with National Society of Black Engineers. In this program, we teach seventh and eighth graders how to use computers. This program is a big success within the local Syracuse community. We do the extra training that is not paid for by public schools. We welcome anyone to come in and help us teach our future the kids!

Poster Series - Glory to the Black Race
Program that celebrates and acknowledges the contributions Blacks had on our society. This program runs throughout the month of February - Black History Month. Posters are placed in Schine Student Center, Goldstein Student Center and bus stops on South Campus.

Founders Day Party - The Foundation
This program was held to celebrate our Founder's Day. It also served as a fundraiser for us. As a result, this brought several brothers from all across the state to attend this event. It was the last party of the Fall 2002 semester and was a success.

Alpha Escorts
In order to maintain safety for the University's female population, the brothers of the distinguished Delta Zeta chapter offer their services to transport students, especially females safely to their destinations at night. This program has been implemented since fall of 1999 here at Syracuse University.

Commemorative Poster to Dr. King
This is a Poster that we put up every year to celebrate our Fraternity brother's birthday, Brother Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Posters are placed in Schine Student Center, Goldstein Student Center and Steele Hall.

Turkey Drive
This program is done for the needy during Thanksgiving. We sell raffle tickets for a dollar each and use the money to buy turkeys to donate to a community center in need during the holidays. This past year, the turkeys went to the Spanish Action League and the winner of the raffle received a $25 Gift Certificate.

STEP Tutoring
In this program, the brothers of the Delta Zeta Chapter, go to the CSTEP office on Saturday mornings and tutor High School students in Mathematics and Science.
