Internship Services

The Center for Career Services (CCS) is an on-campus resource center and clearing-house for students, faculty and employers who want information and assistance regarding internships on a local, national and international basis. The center can complement those resources found in graduate students' home colleges and departments.

The center

  • coordinates the processes of application for and registration of elective academic credit internships that are taken by undergraduate and graduate students from all SU schools and colleges except the College of Law
  • maintains a resource area which houses print information about career-related topics and internships in Syracuse and other parts of the USA
  • maintains collections of links to other internship opportunities; students should explore further resources under Internships, Diversity Resources, and PhD Resources in the Graduate Student Index
  • offers advising appointments that assist students to identify their reasons for wanting an internship, to explore internship options and to develop and revise their resumes, cover letters and overall search strategies
  • provides employers with verification of eligibility of students for internships for academic credit
  • facilitates student-employer communications relative to learning expectations and problem resolution

Questions can always be addressed to CCS in person at 235 Schine Student Center, by phone at 443-3616, or by email.
