Self Help Resources . Our career resource area maintains a number of print directories that can help identify and research employers. Those who recruit on our campus may provide recruiting literature in addition to their web sites (check with Recruiting Department). Links to visiting employers are included in career fair and recruiting announcements. The recommended reading below presents some sites that are excellent for researching employers.
Staff Assistance . Our Associate Director for Information Resources and Services, Chuck Reutlinger, and our staff of Career Advocates and work/study assistants can usually assist students needing to research employers. Work stations are available for web-based research.
Researching Employers Video. Click this link to view a 60-minute presentation delivered to students in the iSchool in January 2008. Its focus is on what to research, when to use your results, and what resources to use in your search for information.

Resources in SU Libraries
The Syracuse University Libraries maintain a number of print and database resources that may be crucial to employer identification and research. Visit the web site for the SU Libraries and review the business and industry databases from the main database menu .Some provide basic profiles of companies while others index articles or brokerage reports that capture employers' recent activities.
