Researching Employers

Self Help Resources. Our Career Resource Center maintains a number of print directories that can help identify and research employers. Those who recruit on our campus may maintain recruiting literature files in addition to their web sites. Links to visiting employers are included in career fair and recruiting announcements. The recommended reading below presents some sites that are excellent for researching employers.

Staff Assistance. Our Associate Director for Information Resources and Services, Chuck Reutlinger, can usually assist students needing to research employers. Work stations are available for web-based research for those alumni living near Syracuse to use the Center. Those living further away may email Chuck for assistance.

Researching Employers Video. Click this link to view a 60-minute presentation delivered to students in the iSchool in January 2008. Its focus is on what to research, when to use your results, and what resources to use in your search for information.
