Resumes and Curriculum Vita (CV)

Resumes are the traditional means of introducing yourself to a potential employer, and may also be useful in forging networking contacts. Curriculum vita, or CV's, are expanded summaries frequently used in the pursuit of academic or research positions. The term CV is also used in Europe the same way we use the term resume here in the USA, but expectations may be different (see below). Writng a solid resume or CV is a job search skill that students should try to master early since these documents may open doors for pre-graduation experiences as well as more permanent roles.
