DIVERSITY RESOURCES FOR NATIVE AMERICAN STUDENTS

Use these resources in conjunction with those outlined in the undergraduate index that deal with career exploration, internships, permanent positions, job search skills development, networking, and the information resources that impact all these areas. Students should examine the other diversity sections if they share one or more characteristics with the other targeted populations.

A site created by an Assiniboine Sioux Tribal Member (and his wife) from Montana as an answer to frustrations of trying to find job and career opportunities for Native Americans and others.
American Indian Program Council
An organization dedicated to the recruitment and retention of Native Americans in the Federal government.
AISES Career Center
Job listings, resume database and other career resources from the American Indian Science and Engineering Society.
Bureau of Indian Affairs Educational Employment Board
The Educational Employment Board has the most comprehensive list of teaching, administrative, and other school support staff positions available in most of the 23 states where BIE funded schools are located. The goal is to provide useful information on a possible teaching career with one of the 184 schools located on or near the Indian reservations. The Bureau of Indian Education operates 60 schools while 124 operate as grant schools which tribes operate under grants or contract.

The AISES mission is "To substantially increase the representation of American Indian and Alaskan Natives in engineering, science and other related technology disciplines."
