Diversity Business Summit 2007
The Diversity Business Summit is an interactive networking event focused on assisting students from diverse identities succeed in an increasingly competitive global marketplace. With support from JPMorgan Chase, Deloitte, Morgan Stanley, and Syracuse University 's Career Services Network and Office of Multicultural Affairs, the event is a prime opportunity for students to connect with internationally recognized organizations looking to diversify their workforce with knowledgeable, proficient, and proactive student candidates. Three Ways to Get Involved:
Teams of four will be given a week to tackle a diversity related issue prevalent in today's workplace. Groups will present their findings to a panel of employers, who will pick the best solution. To sign up your team of four, click here.
Sit down over dinner and discuss issues and opportunities in today's changing marketplace with one of over 30 globally competitive organizations. With employers sponsoring individual tables, students are given a chance to extend the networking experience, learning more about a single organization of their choice. To sign up for a dinner table at the Fall 2007 Diversity Business Summit please follow the directions:
1) Sign on to Orangelink-if you do not have an orangelink account please email careers@syr.edu
2) Once signed into Orangelink, please select the events tab on the main screen
3) Once on the events page, select the information sessions tab.
All of the information sessions will be listed, look for the session type labeled Diversity Business Summit Dinner.
4) To look at an individual company, click on that company's Session Start Date/Time. (You cannot click on the employer.) Please pay close attention to: what majors, level of students, and visa status they are looking for.
5) Once you have found the company you would like to sit with, click the RSVP button at the bottom of that company's page.
6) You must have a resume uploaded to the system in order for your registration to be accepted. These resumes will be shared with the employer.
Select only one employer to sit with, selecting more than one in employer will result in your removal from the event. Please email Greg Victory, gjvictor@syr.edu with questions.

The evening concludes with a dessert reception sponsored by Deloitte. Students will have the opportunity to interact with all the employers and organizations involved throughout the Diversity Business Summit. Student organizations will also have the opportunity to showcase their work and community involvement, while connecting with potential future employers. Individual students do not need to register to attend the Networking Reception!
