Internship Services and Resources
Gaining pre-graduation experience is critical to testing initial career decisions and has proven equally critical in competing for career launching positions after graduation. The Center for Career Services provides the following to assist students to identify and successfully pursue internships:
Access to existing internships
+ Coordination of for-credit and non-credit, local and national internships.
+ Listings online in OrangeLink of internships posted by employers who actively recruit at Syracuse
+ Links to profiles and listings on non-SU sites like MonsterTrak and Internships USA
+ An online guide to internship information in the USA and abroad
+ Print directories to internships
+ Annual career and internship fairs staged on our campus
+ Links to internship fairs held elsewhere
Programming and Advising
+ Workshops on conducting an internship search
+ Individual assistance with search strategies, resumes, letters, interviewing, and networking
+ Guidance on using CareerSearch, an online accessible database of 2.8 million organizations used to identify targets for inquiries about internships
Networking Assistance
+ Access to a 1600-member alumni network, Mentor@SU, which includes alumni willing to assist with finding and making the most of internships
+ Alerts to alumni and other events through which connections might be forged to professionals in many fields.
