CareerSearch Online Database
What is CareerSearch? | Login
Information
CareerSearch is a web-based database of over 4 million companies
across hundreds of industry categories with over 7.5 million contact
names. CareerSearch is an indispensable source for identifying
and researching potential employers. Students should use this
resource to:
+ Identify potential internship and permanent
employment sites by industry, location, size and academic major.
+ Find names of key managers and executives that won't appear
on web sites
+ Expand knowledge of organizations that relate to your professional
interests, notably recruiters and professional associations
+ Research salaries, communities, other nations.
+ Research employers through articles in scores of publications
to prepare for interviews or to use in cover letters.
NOTE: Except for a collection
of internships, CareerSearch is not a database
of existing opportunities, but is rather a targeting tool to be
used by the job seeker who wants to take initiative to uncover
opportunities that may not be advertised. Employer profiles usually
include web links, so users may only be two clicks away from employer
career sites.
