DIVERSITY RESOURCES FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

The goal of this collection of globally-oriented resources is to provide international students with information and guidance that speaks to the unique needs and issues that come with being an international student in a search for temporary as well as permanent career opportunities. Undergraduate students should utilize these resources in conjunction with those outlined in the undergraduate index that deal with finding American internships and permanent positions, job search skills development, and the iinformation resources that impact all these areas.

Counselors at the Center for Career Services are available for discussions on how these resources can be used effectively.

H1 Base Career Solutions
A great resource which includes profiles and contacts for organizations that have a history of hiring international students. At the page's top, in the "Current User Login" box,
+ enter syracuse in lower case letters as your Email,
+ enter student in lower case letters as the Password, then click login.
+ click "View" on the line that reads "All directories - Unlimited Users". on the next page.

A display of various industry groups will appear on the next screen; click the industry that you might like to work in and a list of employers who have had H-1 visas approved recently will be displayed. While there is no guarantee that these employers are looking now, they may be worth researching for current needs.
