Exploring Further Study - Advising @ CCS
Many students discover that pursuing additional
study is frequently required or strongly advisable for entering
and succeeding in certain professional fields. However, other
students contemplate further study as a way to discover a career
direction. The Center for Career Services provides the following
to assist students to evaluate, identify and successfully pursue
such opportunities after graduation:
Information Resources and Activities
+ An online guide to finding programs, financing and
rankings on the Web
+ Annual law and graduate school fairs staged on our campus
+ Strong collaboration with campus pre-law and pre-med advisors
Programming and Advising
+ Workshops on identifying programs, preparing for the
GRE, succeeding in the application process; click on Calendar
of Events to find current programming.
+ Individual assistance with assessing the advisability and timing
of more education
+ Guidance and critiquing related to writing essays and personal
statements, finding financial resources and more
Application Support
+ A Credentials Services which facilitates the gathering
and submission of references and recommendations
Grad School Prep Series
+ A series geared towards exploration of grad
school. Includes such areas as: GRE Overview, Admissions Q &
A, and a panel of experts that can answer questions on grad school.
