Pre-Law Advising
Pre-law advising services are available to all students and alumni
of any of the schools and colleges at Syracuse University through
the Pre-Law
Advising Office in 329 Hall of Languages. The office consists
of a director and two pre-law advisors—one of whom is also
a career counselor and the other a law student. Together, they
provide developmental guidance in selecting courses, academic
programs, co-curricular and extracurricular opportunities; exploring
career options; and applying to law school.
In addition, the office produces the indispensable
pre-law handbook, Preparing for the Study of Law: A Guide
for Students, which equips students with the necessary information
to consider and prepare for law school.
Students who are contemplating careers
in law should connect with this office as early as possible to
insure that they benefit fully from the resources, programs, advising
and overall expertise offered by this office.
