Pre-Med and Pre-Health Advising

The Health Professions Advisory Program (HPAP) in The College of Arts and Sciences at Syracuse University, advises, counsels and provides resources for students and graduates of all Syracuse University schools and colleges, and the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry (ESF) about academic requirements and other credentials necessary for application to medical and other health-related professional schools (dental, optometry, podiatry, physician assistant, physical therapy and veterinary).

The services HPAP offers extend to publications, workshops, help with applications, a credentials service for letters of recommendation and mock interviews. A Resource Center with extensive information about health careers is located in room 313 Hall of Languages.

Students who are contemplating careers in medicine or health-related fields should connect with this office as early as possible to insure that they benefit fully from the resources, programs, advising and overall expertise offered by this office.
