GAINING PRE-GRADUATION EXPERIENCE
Pre-graduation experience is
a crucial component for undergrads in making solid career choices
and attracting attention from employers and other providers of
post-graduate opportunities. The purpose of this section is to
alert students to the many opportunities available through Syracuse
University offices.

CCS coordinates students' pursuits of internships during both the academic year
and during summers, in the Syracuse community and across the nation, both for credit and not for credit.
Although not always
paid, students nonetheless gain insights into career options,
observe and contribute to "real world" problem solving,
and generate contacts and footholds in many types of settings.

As part of its efforts to provide learning opportunities across
the globe, SU Abroad assists students to secure internships in international
settings. Given the impact of global markets on the careers of
the future, students who pursue these opportunities may enhance
their career options immeasurably.

The iLearn Program

The popular iLEARN programs helps students complement traditional
classroom and laboratory work with independent experiential learning
opportunities. This array of opportunities includes the Soling
Program, the Undergraduate Research Program, the Mock Trial program,
the Ruth Meyer Research Scholarship and the Allport Project. Some
eligibility restrictions exist.
