Invite your professors to Moon Festival Party!

To our knowledge, there are quite a few Chinese faculty members in Syracuse University, who might not have subscribed our CSSA maillist thus might not know our Moon Festival Event's coming. If you know the contact info of any Chinese faculty members in your department, please share with us. The CSSA will send invitations to them in the next a few days. Please send your reply to Liangyue Lu at luliangyue@gmail.com.

We'll celebrate our Moon Festival with about 2 hours' talent show and games and a following dancing/karaoke party. Free snacks and beverage will be provided. Of course everyone will also have a bite of mooncakes. :)

The event is free of charge to everybody. But you do need to get a ticket from Schine box office (free). The tickets are still in print and will be available later this week. Please mark your calendar with the following:

Event: CSSA Moon Festival Event
Time: 7:00pm Sept. 17th, Saturday
Location: Skybarn (Skytop Road), South Campus

We are also calling for volunteers to help with decorating and set-up and pick-up service. Moreover, if anyone has a karaoke machine or karaoke VCD/DVDs and could lend to us for one night, it would be of great help. If you are willing to help, please contact Wei Ouyang at wouyang@syr.edu or any CSSA committee member whom you know.

We had a wonderful BBQ Party!

52 people showed up in our Labor Day BBQ party at Jamesville Beach Park. More than half of them were new comers. The party lasted about 5 hours in which we enjoyed the great food, sunshine, and a variety of games. The food only should worth the gas (Thanks to our chief chef! :D). Not to mention the great fun we made and lots of new friends we met. Please see wonderful photos here.

Also we are calling for pictures that you and your friend took in the BBQ party. If you would like to share, please send your pictures to jyu03@syr.edu. Comments and suggestions are welcome.
