Emergency

In the case of an emergency:

• On campus: dial 711 from any campus or pay telephone
• Off campus: dial 443-4299 or Onondaga County 911
• On a cell phone; dial #SU (#78) in the campus area

When calling for assistance:

• Remain calm and give the dispatcher your location, nature of the emergency, and the number you are calling from.
• Do not hang up. The dispatcher will give you instructions on what to do until help arrives.
• Be prepared to direct responders to the incident location. This may include watching for vehicles arriving in a courtyard or waiting near an elevator.
