X-ray Services
The X-Ray Unit is open Monday and Tuesday from 9:30 AM-5:30 PM; Wednesday to Friday 9:00 AM-5:00 PM during the academic year. It is closed on weekends, holidays, winter and spring breaks and in the summer.
The X-Ray Unit is licensed and accredited by the New York State Department of Health, and is staffed by a registered and licensed x-ray technologist.
X-Ray procedures are ordered by Syracuse University Health Service medical providers. Written orders from the student’s own medical provider are also accepted. There is no appointment; services and procedures are done on a walk-in basis.
- Basic x-ray procedures are provided. Procedures not performed here are referred to an outside imaging facility. Medical transportation is available to these facilities.
- Procedure fees are separate from the health fee. Charges will be submitted to College Blue, SU Blue Point, SU Orange Point, Blue Cross/Blue Shield Blue Card and SU HTH. Charges not paid by insurance are billed to the student’s bursar account or may be paid at the time of service. Students may obtain an itemized statement from medical records.
- X-ray reports are usually available in about 48 hours or two working days. Results are mailed to the student’s own medical provider ordering the procedure. A copy may be obtained from medical records.
