How to Prepare For Your Formal Hearing
Thoroughly review the University Judicial System Handbook to ensure that you are well aware of the Judicial Process and how you fit in to that process. The University Judicial System Handbook may be found here. Review the date and time of your hearing and be sure to arrive on time. Submit your list of witnesses to the Office of Judicial Affairs by 5:00 P.M. on the business day prior to your hearing. Contact a Procedural Advisor in the Dean of Students Office, 306 Steele Hall. Be prepared to answer specific questions from the Board regarding the incident in question in an honest and clear manner. You should arrive to the hearing prepared to recite a detailed account of your story. Dress appropriately by avoiding overly casual attire (e.g., hats, sandals, head bands, etc.). Arrive at the hearing trusting the fairness of the University Judicial System and do your best to relax and clearly articulate your points. |
