– It has been a CRAZY October and November for OA. Plenty of
performances around campus such as Remembrance week, Breast Cancer Awareness
Cabaret, and of course our very own Invitational! We would like to thank the
Mandarins and Some Like it Hot for making our show just that more amazing! We
can’t wait for Afterhours! 10/6/09
– We would like to, first off, congratulate our own Davis Haines, winner
of SU Idol! We would also like to thank WhAT for bringing us to their shindig
and letting us sing. We have some real big things coming up! Watch out for

– We would like to congratulate our new members: Phil, Sam, Joseph and
Keith! Thanks for everyone that came out to auditions and we hope that you

– Our apologies to Providence, we will not be making it out there this
weekend. But if you’re here in Syracuse come see us at one of our many

– Hey all, its been a while. OA has been hard at work. Our past few
shows went really well, thanks to everyone that came to support us (and
Relay.) We’ve also added some new music so check that out over on the music
page. April is going to be huge for us, stay tuned. 2/10/09
– First off a big apology to everyone looking to cheer us on at the
ICCAs, due to scheduling problems we will not be competing. But we have a
whole slew of other shows coming up as well as a CD in the works, so please
come support us in other ways. We’ll be seeing you soon. 12/13/08

– Quick update. The semester has been going well for us, thanks to
everyone at the high schools and the LGBT conference. We’ll see you Saturday

– As the summer winds down, Orange Appeal swings back into action.
We’ll be singing at Home To The Dome again on 8/21 and will be holding
auditions that Saturday the 23rd. Check the DATES page for more

– Quick update, the GONE video is live on youtube. Go to our vids page
and browse through towards the end of the menu to find it. Also
if you love college a cappella as much as OA does, I highly recommend “Pitch
Perfect” by Mickey Rapkin. Its available at bookstores and gives a real
insiders look at collegiate a cappella. 5/1/08
– Another year has come and gone. OA is going to miss our graduating
seniors and thanks them for everything they have done. Our
year end concert was great, check out the new videos over on the vids page.
I’m hoping to get the GONE video up there as well. We’ll

– Thanks to everyone who bought a CD last night at Relay For Life.
We’re proud to fight cancer with you at such an event. It was also a great
performance. We’ll see you soon at After Hours with lots of new music. 3/6/08
– Even though we only had 7 people and lots of snow in our way, we made
the best of the Acappella show in Elmira. All the other groups were great and
it was fun just to perform. 2/25/08
– Big ups to Fredonia! OA and LaQuandaS’hia had a great weekend. Can’t

– How awesome were the ICCAs? So awesome. Thanks and congrats much to
all the competing groups, the Mandarins that helped out, Hayley Cammerata,
Varsity Vocals and everyone that came out to support us/the groups. It

– Our LIVE album
comes out in 2 days. TICKETS WILL BE SOLD AT THE DOOR. You’ll be able to just
pay $3 to get in or $10 to get in and get a CD. Word. Also
ICCA tickets will also be sold exclusively at the door. 1/29/08
– All the location business for the CD release has been sorted out. It
will be in the Jabberwocky Café (basement of Schine) 3-5 pm. 1/24/08
– Happy new year OA fans! Lotsa great news. First, welcome to our new
site the design is based off of our new live album! Check out the new merch
page and new pics on the pictures page. We’ve been working hard on new music,
we’re doing Fall Out Boy’s Golden and bringing back an old favorite, Walk
Away Renee. Check us out at our CD Release Party 2/2 and the ICCA Show 2/9.
Both of which are gonna be awesome. And once again we’ll be traveling to
Horseheads HS for their acappella show 2/29. Not too bad. 12/11/07

- Well with the Habitat For Humanity Fundraiser being over, Orange Appeal is
done for the semester. We really enjoyed performing for everyone this
semester and can't wait to see you in 08. Couple of announcements: -We're
hosting a Quarter Finals round of the ICCAs on February 9th, check the dates
page for details. -Sadly,
OA member Jon Shew will be going abroad to London. So Jon, we're going to
miss you very much and be sure to say hi to Devon. Not to worry though
because Ben Michael, who is also abroad will be coming back to SU in January. 12/4/07
- Thank you to Groovestand and every one who came out to support us at our

- Thanks to the Mandarins, Su acappella, and all the fans for another

- Orange Appeal has been super busy these past few weeks. To say we've been
working on a lot of stuff would be an understatement. A heads up, we will be
doing different sets at Acappella Afternoon and After Hours. So if you come

- Oh man, thank you Potsdam. What a great weekend. Special thanks to everyone
that housed us and put up with OA's craziness. Look for us this week at the
Rememberance Celebration and later in November at Acappella Afternoon and

- Hey everyone! Orange Appeal is extremely proud to announce that we've been
getting some real appreciation on campus lately, just being awarded both the
Daily Orange's "Best Of" award for A Cappella, and the Syracuse
University's "44 Stars" award for this year's Most Outstanding
Performance Organization!!!! So we're extremely honored and would like to
thank you all for helpin' us out with that. After all, as technically clean
as an a cappella group might be, they're really no fun without a great
audience, so thank you!!! |
