queer graduate students and friends at syracuse university

Welcome to Open Doors!

Open Doors is a graduate student group that seeks to promote an honest and open environment for LGBT graduate students at Syracuse University. The group was conceived as the Lesbian and Gay Graduate Collective of Syracuse University and SUNY-ESF in November 1989 and recognized by the University shortly thereafter. We aim to encourage positive and inclusive images of our community, as well as to foster personal and professional growth for our members. Our activities include potlucks, speakers, personal support, and participation in political events.

Open Doors is open to the entire University community including faculty, staff, and both graduate and undergraduate students. For the 2006-2007 academic year, our meetings will take place at 7:30 p.m. on alternating Tuesdays and Wednesdays at the LGBT Resource Center, 750 Ostrom Avenue (see map).

Send us an e-mail at opendoorssu@yahoo.com for more info or to get onto our listserv. Come Out and join us!
