Confidentiality
OPTIONS will not share any information regarding a person's involvement with the program without the individual's prior knowledge and written permission, except under a court order requesting disclosure. Exceptions to confidentiality may also be made in those circumstances in which clients are a danger to themselves or others, cases involving a reasonable suspicion of child abuse or neglect, and special professional misconduct situations. Ask your counselor to discuss these circumstances if you have any questions about confidentiality.
