Welcome to the
Office of Residence Life Assessment Committee
website. The Assessment Committee seeks to learn
more about the student experience, specifically
those living in the residence halls and
apartments. By utilizing web-based technology
and focus groups, the Assessment Committee
collects and analyzes data in an accurate and
timely manner, disseminating the results to a
variety of people across the Syracuse University
campus, including students, faculty, and staff.
In the hopes of ensuring effective resource
management and better understanding of the
student experience, assessment data is used to
make decisions about the continuation,
modification, or termination of current
programs.
We
invite you to learn more about our
work by viewing our internal
publication, the Orange SliceŠ. You
are also invited to review our
formal reports, publications, and
presentations. Professional staff
and faculty members may find the
Professional Staff Resources and
Training Tools to be especially
helpful. These links contain
discussion guides based our
assessment results and training
documents on assessment.
Paraprofessional staff members may
be interested in some of the
Paraprofessional Staff Resources,
which contain discussion guides that
they can use with residents in their
communities.
We invite
you to look over our website, utilize our
resources, and review our publications and
presentations. It is the hope of the
Assessment Committee that you find this
website both insightful and useful.
