Welcome to Day Hall !

As the Residence Director and Assistant Residence Director, we invite you to explore what living in Day Hall at Syracuse University has to offer.

For more information about Day Hall, please contact our staff:

Brad Stalter Brad Stalter, Residence Director: bcstalte@syr.edu

Jeremy Koss, Assistant Residence Director: email coming soon!

Day Hall is also home to four Learning Communities:

  1. Connecting Across the Equator
  2. Languages, Cultures, and Arts
  3. International Living-Learning Community
  4. International Relations

These three learning communities tie students together with an academic and interest-based link.   Students in our learning communities have the opportunity to attend numerous events that center around their common interests and academic goals.   Some of our most tight-knit floors are our learning communities. Resident Advisor (RA) Staff

Day Hall has a staff of 14 RAs. The Resident Advisor (RA) is a peer advisor and educator who works with residents to assist them in addressing their needs within the residence hall and the university community. The position is challenging because the RA works with students and administrators, learns to articulate rights and responsibilities for both the individual and the University, and balances his or her own pressures of academic and personal responsibilities.

For more information on the Resident Advisor position, contact Kimberly Williams, Coordinator for Staff Selection and Training at knwillia@syr.edu.

Main Desk

The residence hall main desk serves as a business and information center for residents, guests, and staff. It is also a necessary and important link between students, the residence hall, and the University. This link is established when residents check-in at the beginning of the academic year. It continues throughout the year with information, messages, keys, mail, and a variety of other helpful services and information.   The main desk is staffed by Main Desk Assistants (MDA).

For more information on the Main Desk Assistant position, contact Kimberly Williams, Coordinator for Staff Selection and Training at knwillia@syr.edu.
