Resident Advisor (RA)
Staff
Flint Hall
has a staff of 16 RAs. The
Resident Advisor (RA) is a peer
advisor and educator who works
with residents to assist them in
addressing their needs within
the residence hall and the
university community. The
position is challenging because
the RA works with students and
administrators, learns to
articulate rights and
responsibilities for both the
individual and the University,
and balances his or her own
pressures of academic and
personal responsibilities.

information on the Resident
Advisor position, contact
Kimberly Williams, Coordinator
for Staff Selection and Training
at

Main Desk
The residence
hall main desk serves as a
business and information center
for residents, guests, and
staff. It is also a necessary
and important link between
students, the residence hall,
and the University. This link is
established when residents
check-in at the beginning of the
academic year. It continues
throughout the year with
information, messages, keys,
mail, and a variety of other
helpful services and
information. The
main desk is staffed by Main
Desk Assistants (MDA).

Assistant position, contact

Building Highlights
Welcome to
Flint Hall! During the summer of
1997, Flint Hall underwent a
major renovation project to its
main lobby area. The result is a
fresh new facility, equipped
with a large main study, three
group seminar rooms, a
functional classroom, a large
social lounge, and a game room.
All of this is combined with an
aesthetically pleasing area. The
residential wings also benefit
from improvements with recently
painted student rooms, the
addition of security peep holes,
better lighting in floor lounges
and bathrooms, and new bulletin
boards throughout the hall.
