 Residential Areas:

Syracuse University is divided into two campuses, North Campus and South Campus, which are approximately one mile apart. North Campus contains the majority of the residence halls, administrative offices, and academic buildings. South Campus is composed of three residence halls, undergraduate and graduate student apartments and family housing, as well as some administrative offices.

The Office of Residence Life (ORL) is responsible for the residential program in both areas. Full-time, live-in master's level Residence Directors (RDs) oversee the daily operation of the residence halls and apartments. A full-time live-in Assistant Residence Director (ARD) or part-time Programming Assistant (PA) supports each RD. Resident Advisors (RAs), undergraduate or graduate students employed by ORL, live on residence hall floors and design intentional experiences to support students' development and academic success. (For more information on our staff in ORL or on the positions listed above, please visit out Meet the Staff or Employment portions of our website.)

Please explore our North Campus and South Campus links to learn more about our facilities and services.
