Trenton Gaucher - President
Originally from Roseville, California, Trenton is a first year member of the Executive Board. In addition to his time spent attending Syracuse sporting events and participating in the marching band, Trenton enjoys long walks on the beach and watching Georgetown lose in the first round of the NIT. As Vice President of Otto’s Army, Trenton is responsible for communicating with the Syracuse Athletics Department and assisting the President in increasing student section spirit and attendance for every sport. He can never get enough of Syracuse sports and always looks forward to spending many a frigid night in Boeheimberg when basketball season rolls around. Trenton has many great Syracuse memories and is looking forward to many more in the future. Hoya Suxa, and Go Orange!
Brian Roberts - Vice President
Brian Roberts grew up on Long Island, New York and is a sophomore undecided Business student in the Martin J. Whitman School of Management. Brian has been a Syracuse fan since the days of Donovan McNabb and learned to hate the likes of Georgetown, UConn and Pittsburgh at an early age. He decided that he was going to be attending Syracuse University in 2003 - 8th grade - when the then unranked Orangemen upset #2 Pittsburgh and rushed the court three times. His brother Alex, class of 2005, called him on the phone from center court and Brian made his decision at that moment. He applied to only one school, and would have preferred not going to college than attending anywhere else (especially state schools like UConn and Pitt). Brian's favorite Syracuse player of all time is Hakim Warrick, and wishes Dajuan Summers and Georgetown the best of luck in the NIT this season.
Mike Monacelli - Events Officer
Mike bleeds Orange. No, it’s not a disease. Ever since he stepped foot on the campus of Syracuse University, the passion for SU Athletics became a priority in his life. Mike attends every major Orange sporting event as well as many of the non-revenue sports games. Mike’s favorite part of ‘cuse sports, during basketball games, is dancing to the sweet sounds of the Sour Sitrus Society. If you’ve never met Mike, you will definitely recognize him as the guy in the front row with the long striped socks dancing like a loon. Mike’s favorite moments at Syracuse so far have been camping out on cold winter nights in Boeheimberg, beating Georgetown in the dome (twice), seeing the lacrosse team win a National Championship in person, and attending the greatest game ever played in college ball – Syracuse serving Connecticut after 6 glorious overtimes.
Dan Lyons- Public Relations Officer
Caroline Marr - Promotions Officer
Caroline Marr has been a Syracuse Orange fan since she was born. Her first words were “Georgetown Sucks” and she remembers bed time stories consisting of Pearl Washington’s shot against Boston College. She believes that April 7th, 2003 is the most important day in history. She is a Math major and self proclaimed stats nerd who can always be counted on to know the entire Men’s Lacrosse Roster and many other random details. Her interests, aside from Syracuse sports, include watching Johns Hopkins lose, enjoying the mess that is Georgetown’s basketball and lacrosse seasons, and gloating to Connecticut fans every time SU knocks them out of the Big East Tournament. As the Promotions officer for Otto’s Army, her primary goal is to get as many students to non-revenue sporting events as possible and to generally make the Carrier Dome a very unpleasant place for visiting teams to play.
Shannon Lins - Communications Officer
Shannon Patrick Lins is in his second year at Syracuse University, his first on the executive board. He is a life long sports fan and quite an athlete; his specialties are the physically demanding activities of golf and bowling. Shannon became a Syracuse fan when Hakim Warrick floated above the Superdome floor to block a Kansas 3 point attempt and the Orange won the National Championship. Since arriving at Syracuse from America's Dairyland, he has been an avid supporter of the Orange and Otto's Army. As a part of Otto's Army, Shannon enjoys helping the amazing fans at SU and looks forward to making the student section even better. He loves eating, sleeping, watching SU sports, and stargazing with Jim Boeheim. He can't wait for Syracuse to destroy Georgetown, UConn and everyone else they play in every sport.
