Boards/Committees
Various boards and committees are defined in our Constitution, although they can also be ad hoc.

Academic Affairs
The Director of Academic Affairs is responsible for making sure the University and students are upheld to the highest academic standards. The Chair is responsible for student-faculty related issues, academic intergrity and curriculum changes. The Chair acts as a liasion to the Office of Disability Services, the Honors Program, the Internship Program and all academic colleges and departments. The Chair also is responsible for making sure that Syracuse University 's standards are benefiting students and making sure they are receiving the best quality education. The Director of Academic Affairs reports to the President's Senior Associate. The Director is responsible for reporting the progress of the Committee on Academic Affairs and its projects and initiatives.

Board of Elections and Membership
The BEM determines the dates of all campus elections and the location of the polling sites. It also supervises all elections and referenda provided by the SA Constitution. It conducts special elections when needed and enforces the task policy for the Assembly. BEM also has the power to review all campaign practices and investigate all chargers of impeachment made against the officers of the Association.

Judicial Review Board
The JRB reviews all reported violations of SA law and may enforce any penalties as decided. The board with written rationale may refer any action of the Assembly back to the Assembly for reconsideration vote.

Finance Board
The board is responsible to the Assembly and their overall vision for the allocation/designation of the Student Activity Fee and reviews and makes recommendation on all funding requests/proposals for SAF money. Finally, the Finance Board has the authority to review and audit the financial records of any account receiving SAF funding.
