SAI, Sigma Iota Chapter at Syracuse University
and welcome to the SAI Sigma Iota Chapter web site, where anyone interested in SAI activities at Syracuse University can find the latest information.
Sigma Alpha Iota, International Music Fraternity, was organized in 1903 at the University School of Music, Ann Arbor, Michigan " to form chapters of music students and musicians who shall by their influence and their musical interest uphold the highest ideals of a music education; to raise the standard of productive musical work among the women students of colleges, conservatories and universities." As of August 2011, its membership included 219 active college chapters, 119 alumnae chapters, and one International Chapter. Incorporation papers, under the laws of the State of Michigan, were signed December 1, 1904, and recorded December 15, 1904.

SAI will be participation once again in the Relay for Life on April 14th.
It is a walk to raise awareness for cancer founded by the American Cancer Society.
