A look back and what's next in 2014-2015

Syracuse ended the 2013-2014 season with a strong finish in the spring. The team placed second at the Leroy Grant Trophy - boosting the team's ranking in MAISA. It attended more regattas in the fall than in previous years. Other notable results included a 2nd at the William and Mary Spring Open and a 2nd at the Colgate Fall Open. The team also performed well at MAISA Club Championships, scoring 6th out of 18 of the best MAISA club teams. It also raced in its first out of conference regatta - the Atlantic Coast Tourament, a NEISA regatta.
Here's what to look for in the 2014-2015 season:
- The team is set to join MAISA as a full member. This will be the team's first return to full membership since the 1950s when the team was a varsity sport at Syracuse University. Members of MAISA will need to vote at the annual meeting in December whether to accept the team as a full member.
- The regatta schedule for the fall gets expanded to 9 regattas. The team will race in it's third Intercollegiate Offshore Regatta at Larchmont Yacht Club this fall.
